Leap into fun and Learning

Big Leap Dayhome is a haven for children's growth, located in Harmony, Nova Scotia. My unlicensed pet friendly dayhome offers extended hours, nutritious meals, a jam-packed fun schedule and diverse activities designed to foster social-emotional skills through fun and interaction. Although we are looking to become licensed in the near future to accept subsidy, we currently are not.

About Me

Kaylee Dunn

Hello Parents!

Kids have always been an important part of my life. I am a proud mother to 2 beautiful children and have also had the opportunity to work with children in a variety of capacities. Prior to moving home to the beautiful Annapolis Valley, I worked in both British Columbia and Alberta with children in complex care, children who are neurodivergent and children requiring assistive devices such as feeding tubes and hearing aids. We worked hard on developing social-emotional skills,  finding meaningful recreation and learning about strengths, learning styles and meaningful recreation/community contribution. I also owned my own Dayhome in central Alberta. My experience extends into adults working in the mental health and addictions field from front line to management and even some work in housing, and personal development for employment programs. As you can tell, I have always thrived on teaching, building meaningful connections and caring for others. I am now excited to be opening a Dayhome in my home town, that offers more than a set of eyes. My goal is to help you build kind, generous and confident  people that I hope one day will conquer incredible feats.
